On Wednesday we shared a short-term outlook from the Cycle Projection Oscillator (CPO) that indicated that the S&P 500 and Nasdaq would rally for the rest of the week before turning lower next week. The first part of this analysis has played out leaving a pretty strong shorting opportunity. Not only does the CPO indicate the market will soon turn downward, it is showing this while also indicating overbought conditions (See charts).
