Modern Trader readers tell us that they love our covers, so we are pleased to announce that our November 2016 Special Election Issue cover won the American Society of Magazine Editors Reader’s Choice award for the Best Campaign Cover of 2016. The accolade is more impressive given the competition, which included covers from The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Time and Variety.
Thanks and congratulations to illustrator Paul Lachine and our art director Michael Beckett on their crowd-pleasing collaboration!
We looked back at our history to try and find another cover that made such a splash. We found that 40 years ago nearly to the day—the February 1977 cover of Commodities—we published American expressionist Leroy Neiman’s depiction of the Chicago Board of Trade trading floor.
