Investors in Puerto Rico's debt-burdened economy still face risks of default on some of the island's $70 billion in debt even after the U.S.

Puerto Rico's governor says the island is in a $72 billion debt that it cannot pay: 15 times the per capita median debt of the 50 U.S. states.
Puerto Rico needs to restructure its debts and should make reforms including cutting the number of teachers and raising property taxes, a report by former International Monetary Fund economists on the Caribbean island's financial woes said.
